Drew Ades

Senior Advisor
Drew Ades is a recognized leader at the intersection of affordable housing finance and sustainability with over 25 years of affordable housing and building decarbonization experience. He’s held various executive leadership roles in Fannie Mae’s multifamily business and was the visionary behind the creation of Fannie Mae’s Multifamily Green Financing Business that led to over $100 Billion in investments to reduce carbon emissions generated by multifamily housing.

Most recently, Drew has served as Head of Production for CPC Climate Capital, driving the decarbonization of the multifamily market and capitalized by a $2.4 Billion grant from the EPA’s National Clean Investment Fund. In this role, his responsibilities include product design, business development, and underwriting for projects leading to the decarbonization of multifamily housing. Before joining CPC Climate Capital, he led Triple Line Strategies, a consultancy providing strategic advice to companies seeking to drive the decarbonization of the built environment, and served as a senior advisor to RMI’s Center for Climate-Aligned Finance and Carbon-Free Buildings Program where he led research efforts around the financial interventions needed to drive the decarbonization of the built environment and advised National Banks on the design of their net-zero commitments.

Drew was the founding president and CEO of the Housing Partnership Equity Trust (HPET), an award winning social-purpose REIT which raised over $100 million in private capital to acquire over 3,000 units of affordable housing. HPET successfully drove social, environmental and economic returns to investors through the preservation and subsequent energy retrofits of affordable housing. Drew’s institutional leadership experience includes serving on the leadership team for Capital One’s Multifamily Lending business and serving as Senior Vice President and Head of FHA and Small Loan Production.

Drew received his MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business and did his undergraduate studies at Williams College.
