Steven Duong has over 20 years of experience with financial institutions in Equity Research, Investment Banking and Financial Data Services. He spent 12 years (2009 to 2021) as an Equity Research Analyst at RBC Capital Markets covering SMID-Cap banks and achieved a 5-star ranking with an average return of 35% and success rate of over 80% (TipRanks.com). Prior to that, Mr. Duong served as the Co-Head of SNL Financial’s Financial Institutions Group (currently S&P Capital IQ Pro) and SNL’s Online Analytics platform where he revamped SNL’s online merger model to integrate with and leverage SNL’s News Platform. Prior to SNL, Mr. Duong was an investment banker at RBC Capital Markets from 2000 to 2003 where he helped execute over 20 financial institution mergers & acquisitions, common equity and subordinated debt offerings, preferred equity and trust preferred transactions totaling over $2.4 billion.

Mr. Duong’s most recent experience was at Figure Technologies, Inc., a fintech blockchain company focused on bringing the benefits of decentralized technology to traditional finance. At Figure, Mr. Duong was the Director of Bank Partnerships where he worked to onboard banks into the USDF Consortium, a consortium of banks focused on tokenizing deposits onto the blockchain. In addition, Mr. Duong worked to develop bank partnerships for Figure's HELOC production and developed forward flow arrangements in Figure’s capital markets division.

Mr. Duong graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rutgers University with a BA in Political Science and Economics and was part of the Rutgers Men’s Varsity Tennis Team. He is involved with the HATCH Network, a nonprofit organization that brings together leaders in various fields to develop actionable solutions to real world problems. In his spare time, Mr. Duong is an avid mountain biker and enjoys playing tennis, traveling, cooking, and spending time with his 4 dogs. As a boat refugee from Vietnam in the early 1980s, Mr. Duong is passionate about serving the underprivileged.
